When you were a child, did you practice, practice, practice?
Did you get enough exercise of the larger muscle groups, by
playing outdoors, running, doing calisthenics?
HEADACHE
north_bay_myotherapy025.jpg
Playing a musical instrument makes intensive demands on
certain muscles, often the smaller ones. If the opposing
and larger muscle groups are not equally exercised, the
imbalance that results can contribute to pain. Some
instruments, such as flute and violin, are played in
an asymmetrical position, adding to the imbalance
among the muscles.

MUSICIANS

Myotherapy releases "trigger points" in the muscles,
created by injury, stress and repetitive motion, and
"re-educates" the muscles to function normally,
without pain.
